For many years a controversy has raged between believers in the good news of the Kingdom and the heads of orthodox churches, as to the true identity of Almighty God's chosen people.
The question as to who are the Israelites is asked here, and now? Are they those servants who obey the Master's command to forgive their enemies, and bind up their wounds, feed them and clothe their nakedness, and give to them an abundance to add to the things they have stolen?
Or are they the people who gouge an eye for an eye, and teach from the Talmud such precepts as "All property of other nations belongs to the Jewish nation, which consequently is entitled to seize upon it without any scruples...Our vows shall be no vows, and our oaths no oaths at
all"?
These questions are addressed here in a book which follows the British campaign in Palestine during the first world war and General Allenby's entry into Jerusalem. It also features the Miraculous ANZAC charge at Beersheba.
