Des Morrison gave this enlightening and emotional speech at the Inverell Forum. It is a call for the Australian people to take responsibility for the downward moral plunge of the nation and to start to do something about it.
Des gives a comprehensive list of things to do and encourages people to get on with it. “What is the use of voting for a representative who won’t represent you?†he asks. The party system is leading us to a very nasty future.
Des has a long military background and brings all that expertise to bear in this cry from the heart:. “What would our forefathers think of us?†Then he asks, “And what will our grandchildren think of us?â€
Is this the first generation of Australians who will not fight for the freedom of this country? There is an enemy without, but a far greater one within.
